The Finance & Operations Manager will have day-to-day responsibility for the management and operation of the overall business, including five retail locations, online sales, a local warehouse and approximately 75 employees depending on the season. This position will report to the CEO/Owner Howard Hurst.
Oversee daily business operations including complete computerized system of online ordering, point of sale system, order control & fulfillment, Ecommerce - all business systems
Support managers in achieving Tipton & Hurst guarantee of 100% customer satisfaction
Assist store managers with staff scheduling to ensure optimal operation of each department; regularly review productivity and make adjustments as needed
Guide managers through setting annual budgets, meet with each manager regularly to review budgets and make adjustments as necessary
Work with executive team of President and Vice President managing the company
Interview, hire, and ensure training new staff in accordance with HR guidelines
Manage Summer 2019 implementation of new computer retail management system - Floral Computer Business System (IRIS), Ecommerce (Shopify), Accounting (Quickbooks) and online inventory system (TBD)
- Supervise the accounting department and oversee Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, general ledger, payroll and human resources
- Responsible for monthly financial statements and sales analysis
